Streaming to X (Twitter)
X (formerly Twitter) supports live streaming through its Media Studio. pMix includes a built-in X preset.
Getting your stream key
- Go to X Media Studio (requires an X account)
- Navigate to Producer → Sources
- Create a new source to get your RTMP URL and Stream Key
Configuring pMix
- Open Settings → Streaming
- Select X as the platform
- Paste your stream key
- Review the recommended settings:

Going live
- Tap Start in pMix’s output controls
- In X Media Studio, create a new broadcast using your source
- The stream becomes available as a live video on your X profile
- When finished, tap Stop in pMix
Tips
- 720p is often recommended — X’s player is typically viewed in small embed sizes
- H.264 only — H.265 is not supported
- Media Studio access — You may need to apply for Media Studio access depending on your account type
