Streaming to Restream
Restream.io lets you send a single RTMP stream and redistribute it to multiple platforms simultaneously — YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, Kick, and dozens more. pMix includes a built-in Restream preset.
Getting your stream key
- Sign up or log in at Restream.io
- Connect the platforms you want to stream to (YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, etc.)
- Go to Stream Settings
- Copy your RTMP URL and Stream Key
Configuring pMix
- Open Settings → Streaming
- Select Restream as the platform
- Paste your stream key
- Review the recommended settings:
| Setting | Recommended value |
|---|---|
| Resolution | 1920x1080 |
| Frame rate | 30 fps |
| Video codec | H.264 |
| Bitrate | 4500–6000 kbps |
| Keyframe interval | 2 seconds |
| Audio | AAC, 128 kbps |
Use settings that satisfy the strictest platform in your multistream setup. For example, if you’re streaming to both Twitch and YouTube, use Twitch’s requirements (H.264, 2-second keyframe interval, max 6000 kbps).

Tips
- Single stream, multiple destinations — You only send one stream from pMix; Restream handles the rest
- Use H.264 — It’s the only codec supported across all platforms
- Bitrate — 4500 kbps is a safe middle ground that works on all major platforms
- Restream chat — Restream can aggregate chat from all platforms into one view
- Free tier — Restream offers a free plan with limited platform connections
