Streaming to TikTok
TikTok Live allows creators to stream directly to their TikTok audience. pMix includes a built-in TikTok preset.
Prerequisites
- A TikTok account with live streaming access (typically requires 1,000+ followers)
- TikTok’s LIVE Studio or RTMP stream key access enabled on your account
Getting your stream key
- Open TikTok on desktop or use TikTok LIVE Center
- Start a new live session
- Select Go Live with the RTMP option
- Copy the Server URL and Stream Key
Configuring pMix
- Open Settings → Streaming
- Select TikTok as the platform
- Paste your stream key
- Review the recommended settings:

Going live
- Tap Start in pMix’s output controls
- The stream connects and becomes visible on TikTok
- When finished, tap Stop in pMix
Tips
- Vertical vs. horizontal — TikTok audiences expect vertical content, but horizontal streams work too (they appear letterboxed). Consider your content format
- Stream keys may be single-use — Get a fresh key each time
- Lower bitrate — TikTok’s audience is primarily mobile, so 2500–4000 kbps is usually sufficient
- H.264 only — H.265 is not supported
