Health Stats Overview
pMix’s Health Stats panel provides real-time monitoring of your production’s performance — frame rates, network throughput, device health, and per-source diagnostics.
Opening Health Stats
Tap the Health Stats button (or the performance indicator in the status bar) to open the monitoring panel.
What’s monitored
Per-source stats
For each connected source, you can see:
- Frame rate — Incoming frames per second
- Packet loss — Displayed as a ratio (e.g., “3/5000 (0.1%)”)
- Bitrate — Incoming data rate
- Latency — End-to-end delay
Device stats (iPad)
- CPU usage — Current processor load
- Thermal state — Nominal, fair, serious, or critical
- Memory usage — RAM utilization
iPhone camera stats
For connected iPhone cameras, additional telemetry:
- Battery level and charging state
- Thermal state
- Storage available on the iPhone
- Performance — Target FPS, input FPS, processing FPS, drop percentage, SRT FPS, bitrate
Output stats
- Stream health — Connection quality indicator (green/yellow/red)
- Bitrate — Actual output bitrate vs configured
- Duration — How long you’ve been streaming/recording
Status bar indicators
The status bar at the top of the screen shows summary health information:
- Green — All systems healthy
- Yellow — Minor issues (e.g., occasional frame drops)
- Red — Critical issues requiring attention
Tips
- Check before going live — Open Health Stats during your pre-show setup to catch problems early
- Monitor packet loss — Any packet loss above 0.1% on iPhone cameras indicates a network issue
- Watch thermal state — If the iPad or iPhone reaches “serious” thermal state, performance may be throttled
- Frame rate drops — If incoming frame rate is lower than expected, check the source device and network
